I am requesting for the CDD to sponsor a quarterly "Social Walk" community event.
The purpose of this event is to bring all residents together (a getting-to-know-your-neighbors event) during the 2nd month of each quarter (February, May, August and November), to walk the full or partial loop of Cory Lake Drive. A meet and greet will follow within or outside the Beach Club after each event.
- No funds will be allocated by the CDD.
- No CDD staff will be needed.
- Request CDD resources to publicize the event via the Islander, Marquees, Facebook, Email blast, etc.
- Request use of Beach Club space, tables, and chairs.
- Volunteers will make flyers, set up, and break them down for each event.
Please see the sample of the Social Walk flyer attached. I have hosted two (2) successful Social Walks (formally called United Walk) in our community since November.
