This topic is to get input on the needed fire protection for the Beach Club. There currently is no form of fire detection or notification system in place making for a very unsafe situation.
Given the number of parties and the people who attend we need to be sure that there is a way to ensure that they have enough warning to escape and fire rescue is notified immediately to protect the communities assets.
Also we have a 24 hour gym that is basically closed off from the primary heat and electrical sources so if anything happens in the club house at night it will definitely put any gym users safety at risk.

This proposal is to bring the Beach Club up to code with monitoring and alarms.

Currently yes,

I am trying to get at least two more to give a price range but this is the first that has submitted.

This sounds like a necessity/requirement lets discuss further at board meeting. John please try to get additional proposals prior to the meeting.

17k is lot of money.

I agree with John and Jorge that safety and security of the Club House users are paramount.

Club House and Gym having multiple exit doors do we really need additional safety devices? Let's discuss this further during our next meeting.
