TECO additional lighting

Author Message
This topic is for the discussion of adding lighting to the entrance sidewalks and at the pocket parks.

The TECO engineer looked at the areas and recommended adding 16 light poles to light the sidewalks and parks. The poles and fixtures would be provided but we will have to pay for the boring and running of power for the poles.

TECO has provided an estimate that is attached for review.
The estimated cost is $30,128.42

I am in favor of adding lights if this thread is seeking opinions on this.
Thanks,
Levent

John - thank you for the information will you please verify with Teco if the $30K can be broken down in monthly installments, if so is it interest free? I'm in favor of adding lighting in those areas.
thanks

Jorge,

I discussed with TECO and the fee is a one time fee that can't be broken up.

I am still in favor with one time fee if we have the money to add these lights.
I leave it to the CDD to decide, but lighting up any dark areas is always a great benefit to the community.
Thanks,
Levent

I think the board should discuss the additional Lighting issue at the 18 January meeting and if all board members agree, then we can see how we can possibly fund the cost. It appears to be a safety and security requirement.
