Low voltage lighting discussion

This topic is for discussion of the talks with the lighting company.

After discussing the Boards decision with Tim Gay, Tim would like the Board to consider letting him have the lights being replaced to try and recoup any losses on the price of the replacement lights.

He said he can't take a $12k loss on the job because he has already added some lights in that weren't in the original proposal to try and make some areas look better.

The original proposal was for $27k. The Board approved $15k but also wanted to keep the other lights to be used in another area.

Thanks,

Not sure how the rest of the board feels, however we need other options considering the quality of the lights installed are very dim and poor. $105K was the amount approved for a superior product. If I compare the lumens in palm trees in Arbor greens entrance to ours it's like night and day and no punt intended we are the night.

So far no party is happy, certainly I am not.

Did Tim installed a replacement brighter light fixer yet to compare it from current one?

Tim Gay should bite the bullet and finish the project without any further delay.

I would suggest that we invite Tim to the next meeting and find a happy median.

John, can you get in touch with the contractor who did the work at Arbor Green and discuss the issue in general.

Sid, Jorge,

Arbor Green has high voltage lighting in front of their trees at the entrance. Each one has an outlet under the light.

They are RAB brand LED lights which are 120v, 18w or 26w, 5000k, and between 1800- 2300 lumens. They run from $275 and up per fixture. Really bright white lights.

We are using low voltage that is no where near what those floodlights put out. It's like comparing apples to grapes. We would have to run several new electric services to power those lights.

Tim re-installed the X-5 lights on a tree on the Cross Creek entrance road. On the exit side. Please take a minute tonight or tomorrow to look and see if you can tell which tree.

Thanks,

John
