The guards have been issued gloves and sanitary wipes to help protect from the virus. They are also not touching ID cards if at all possible. In some cases there may be a language or spelling issue that would require a card to be scanned but as of this morning I saw them having the visitor put the ID on a clear plastic plate and then having the guest retrieve the card so the guard never physically touched the ID.
